Your student has been a star player, and we congratulate them on earning admission to the University of Minnesota Twin Cities! Maybe you have been their cheerleader on the sidelines. Maybe you’re their teammate passing them assists on the field. Whatever your role, we want you to have the admissions information you need to support them in the final stretch.
Confirmation Deadline
May 1 is the deadline to confirm enrollment to the U of M Twin Cities. We’ll reserve your student’s spot in the Class of 2029! Here’s a brief recap of steps your student needs to take.
- HOW TO CONFIRM: Visit z.umn.edu/confirm for options to confirm and pay online. If the $325 fee presents hardship at this time, you can request to defer your confirmation fee to the first semester’s tuition bill.
- DEADLINE: Confirmations must be received by 11:59 pm CT on May 1. Late confirmations will be accepted on a space-available basis.
- EXTENSIONS: Your student can request to extend their deadline to May 15 if they have not yet received their estimated financial aid award notice. Other reasons for needing an extension will be considered but are not guaranteed. By April 27, have your student complete this deadline extension request form: z.umn.edu/ConfirmationDate.
- HOUSING APPLICATION: May 1 is also the deadline to submit a housing application to be guaranteed campus housing for this fall. Learn more at housing.umn.edu/guarantee.
